Facebook encourages employees to avoid political images as profile pictures

As the elections in the US is nearing, social media giant Facebook has made stricter policies for its employees.

Now as per a report, the company’s employees are banned from using any political image as their profile phtoos.

The idea is to restrict employees from showing their support to any political candidate or group or any cause such as Black Lives Matter.

The move is to ensure that the employees are not allowed to share their views on any controversial social topic on the company’s internal Workplace communications tool

The policies and work tools are being updated so that employees from various backgrounds or having their views on political candidates don’t find a hostile work environment.

Employees will be allowed to share their views through frames around their photos. The new policy will put an end to any sort of harassment that may likely take place in such political situations.
