Do you know now there will be a Mahabharat Research Centre to be set up in Handia in Prayagraj?
Well, it would be really interesting to have the centre at Handia because it is a place where it is believed that Lakshagriha had once existed.
Lakshagriha was a palace built during the Mahabharat times and it is said that the palace was created to catch fire easily.
As per the mythology, the Pandavas brothers stayed there and they were conspired to be killed with the help of that palace.
According to the Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme and the Ganga circuit development plan, preparation have already started to build the Mahabharat Research Centre at this wonderful place.
The place is also called with various names such as Pandav Kuti, Meti kila, Pandav Gufa etc.
