While the Indian team has defeated Australia in their home series 2–1, the England team has also defeated Sri Lanka’s team 2–0. In such a situation, in this series of 4 matches, England’s batting will see India’s bowling match. Meanwhile, former Australia captain Ian Chappell has predicted the much-awaited Test series and has told which team will be able to get hold of this series.
Chappell believes that the confidence of the Indian camp will be high after the recent dusting of Australia at his home, not only that the Indian team has excellent bowling and batting attack apart from domestic conditions which test against England. Makes him a strong contender for victory in the series.
In one of his columns in ESPN Cricinfo, Chappellne praised the Indian team, writing, ‘The Indian team is going to be a strong contender for victory in the Test series against England. The way the Indian team defeated Australia in spite of all the odds reflects their self-confidence and the team becomes more dangerous after Virat Kohli’s return to the team. On the other hand, it is difficult to defeat India with the return of R Ashwin, Hardik Pandya and Ishant Sharma in the team.
