Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the national capital is preparing to host the Olympics on India’s 75th Independence Day. The Delhi chief minister stated, “We are going to make our case to host the Olympics until 2047, and we have to raise Delhi up to a level that is not the host country of the famous international games so far.”
On Sunday, Kejriwal made a particular note of India’s Olympic medalists in his speech. In particular, India had its most satisfactory Olympic showing ever this year, winning seven medals in the multi-sport tournament, including a historic gold from javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. Kejriwal congratulated the athletes on their accomplishments and stated that India must now prepare for “70 medals.”

According to Kejriwal, his administration has established the Delhi Sports University, which is open to athletes from throughout the country. The Delhi chief minister added, “I appeal on everyone to come and use the amenities.” Kejriwal had stated that it is the Delhi government’s goal to host the 2048 Olympics. He will approach the national government and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) earlier this year.
“The aim is for Delhi to be ready with infrastructure and other formalities for the Olympic games to be held in 2048. will put up a bid for the Olympics in 2048. We’ll take on whatever infrastructure and other requirements are required to make it happen “he stated
Furthermore, Kejriwal stated that by 2047, Delhi’s per capita income should be comparable to Singapore’s and that this can be accomplished if the government and the people work together. By 2047, CM Kejriwal wants Delhi to be the world’s best and most liveable city and India to be an influential nation in the world. Kejriwal thanked the frontline workers who died in the epidemic and said the government had given their families each Rs 1 million as a token of appreciation.
