Lucknow : Kaivalya Communication and Amity University, Lucknow jointly organized a seminar discussing the Role of PR and Corporate Communication in Business Development on 3rd March at Amity University premises. Industry experts, Chief Operating Officer, Dainik Jagran I Next, Mr. Alok Sanwal, Corporate Head, INOX, Mr. Puneet Gupta, and Marketing Head, Apollomedics Hospital, Mr. Abhishek Singh were present in the guest panel.

The seminar was graced with the presence of Corporate Communication Head-UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bharti Airtel, Mr. U Srinivasan.

Dainik Jagran I Next, Operating Officer, Mr Alok Sanwal said, “PR is when you do your communication carefully as how your audience should perceive your actions. Communication through Public Relations and Advertising is the simplest manner and tool of connecting externally to the stakeholders and public. The biggest example of a PR achievement under the supervision of the Govt. of India is ‘Article 370’, where the opposition and stakeholders were communicated successfully which helped in the acceptance of the Act.

Today, the novel Coronavirus is the biggest PR challenge. Through Public Relations, the right information is being delivered worldwide as a preventive note. At the same time, the propaganda should also convey people not to panic from the Virus”, he added. Kaivalya Communication, Founder & CEO, Mr. Vishal Mishra said, “In today’s fast-paced world, Public Relations and Corporate Communication are playing a very vital role in the Business Development field. As the business practitioners have understood the importance of Public Relations and Corporate Communication for a business to grow, this field of Public Relations is getting more competitive, challenging, creative and rewarding at the same time.”

INOX, Corporate Head, Mr. Puneet Gupta said, “With the evolution of time, the core challenge of PR which is ensuring the good reputation of a brand remains the same, but its approach has been changed. One needs to be very contemporary with its approach and should ensure that all the platforms are informed rightly as per the actions.” Further, educating about Corporate Communication, he said, “Corporate Communication keeps the situations and environment in control to deal with external and internal audiences which helps to develop a business from marketing prospective.”

Addressing the role of PR in Healthcare industry, Apollomedics Hospital, Marketing Head, Mr. Abhishek Singh said, “The Healthcare industry is very sensitive, where people expect a lot from us. If any situation gets out of control, it’s not always expected to get a fair deal in communication about the industry. Here, PR plays a vital role where it becomes challenging in this fast paced world to stop miscommunication and to deliver the right information. Now, with the time, the healthcare sector has understood the importance of PR in Business Development.
