New Delhi: Rising inflation has broken the back of the common people. The opposition party is constantly attacking the Centre. Congress is continuously protesting against it. Now Congress leader and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has held the Modi government responsible and said that inflation is increasing due to wrong policies.
He said on Tuesday, “Inflation has not happened due to increase in demand and more money in the hands of the people. This inflation has happened due to wrong policies of the government and inappropriate management of the economy.”
Congress leader P Chidambaram said, “The NDA government is solely responsible for the increased inflation in the country. Modi government pretends that they are worried about rising inflation, but their concern is false. The government’s refusal will not end inflation.”
Chidambaram has further said, “Congress is demanding that the Center should immediately reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. We demand that import duties be reviewed and prices of essential imported goods reset. Import duty on essential goods should be reduced.
