On December 20, 2023, the Vande Bharat Express is expected to open for regular business. Train schedule: Praygraj at 07:34 AM, Kanpur Central at 09:30 AM, and New Delhi at 2:05 PM. The train departs Varanasi at 6:00 AM.
The train is scheduled to leave New Delhi at 3 p.m., arrive at Kanpur Central at 7 p.m., Prayagraj at 9 p.m., and reach Varanasi at 11 p.m. on the return journey.
402 kilometers are designated for freight in the east.
Today, PM Modi will also inaugurate the eastern DFC’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction and New Bhaupur Junction. This stretch of the corridor, which cost RS 10,903 crores to construct, runs along the Delhi-Howrah rail line and passes through the Uttar Pradesh districts of Chandauli, Mirzapur, Pryagraj, Kaushambi, Fathepur, Kanpur Nagar, and Kanpur Dehat.
