Lucknow: Shivpal Singh Yadav, the MLA of the Samajwadi Party is sidelined by the party president Akhilesh Yadav is now openly condemning both SP chief and Mulayam over his and other party leader’s neglect. He met Azam Khan, a former cabinet minister lodged in Sitapur jail, on Friday. Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) national president Shivpal Singh Yadav spoke to Azam Khan in Sitapur district jail for about 45 minutes.

Shivpal Singh Yadav SP MLA from Javsantnagar in Etawah made serious charges against the party after the meeting. He said that at present there is no MLA senior to Azam Bhai in the assembly and the Samajwadi Party does not seem to be fighting for him. Shivpal has also attacked Mulayam Singh Yadav for the first time along with Akhilesh Yadav. He said that if Netaji and Akhilesh Yadav had wanted, Azam Khan would have been out of jail. Netaji did nothing, did not raise the matter even in Lok Sabha. He could have protested if he wanted.
Shivpal said that the whole country knows that Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is highly respected by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If the leaders of the SP led by Netaji sat on a dharna for Azam Khan’s release from jail, then PM Modi would have definitely given an ear to the Netaji’s demand. He said that despite being a founding member and senior leader of the Party, Azam Khan was ignored and not being helped.
Shivpal Yadav’s meeting with Azam is very important after the changed attitude of other Muslim leaders of SP and Jayant Chaudhary meeting Azam Khan’s family members. Political circles are abuzz with this latest political development in UP after many Muslim leaders seem disillusioned with the party due to Akhilesh’s indifferent attitude towards the community.
