At the age of simply 16, Jyothi was married to Sami Reddy, a farmer who was 10 years older than her. She used to get Rs 5 for 10 hours for wages. Having children and living in poverty with a joint family, she laboured all day, after which she got home to do family chores.

Life In US

She required to begin from scratch in US by doing some jobs like work at petrol pump, babysitting, etc. Then, she starts work as recruitment officer. In 2021, she has savings of $40,000 with which she starts her own business She opens IT company, Key software solutions, Phoenix, Arizona, US. She became the CEO of the corporation, which grew gradually to earn $15 million and, sooner or later, became a billion-dollar greenback company in 2017. She is the epitome of perseverance and optimism, even in darkness.

After struggling for nearly 1.5 years, she returned to India in 2001 to meet her daughters. During that point, Jyothi met a priest whilst going to a temple, who advised her that she would run a commercial enterprise.
