At the age of 72, famous ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away. It’s verified by his team that he passed away at a Hospital in Mumbai early on 26 February. Pankaj Sir hadn’t been feeling well for a few days due to a protracted illness. According to his team, he passed away this morning at Breach Candy Hospital at around 11 a.m.

His daughter named Nayaab Udhas, confirmed his passing in a statement on social media. We regret to notify you of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas’s untimely death on February 26, 2024, as a result of a protracted illness. The Udhas family in Mumbai will host his funeral on Tuesday, February 27.

Popular Indian ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas enthralled audiences for decades with his soulful renditions. He was born in Gujarat on May 17, 1951. He started his musical career at an early age and became well-known in the 1980s and 1990s.

In addition to his achievements in music, Udhas was also well-known for his charity work and actively supported social welfare work and charitable reasons. His famous album “Nabeel,” which was launched in 1989, ended up being one of his highest selling records. The album’s first copy was put up for auction and brought in an incredible Rs 1 lakh. The Cancer Patients Aid Association received the donation of the funds. The king of ghazals was also hired by the Parents Thalassemia Unit.
