Colonial Mindset Hindering India’s Prosperity: Modi

In his Constitution Day speech today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the eradication of a “colonial mindset” that only existed to “thwart India’s prosperity.” PM Modi spoke for the second time today, the first in the centre chamber of parliament, when he criticised a party ruled by the same family generation after generation as the greatest threat to democracy. In the presence of Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, he spoke for the second time in Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan.

“The colonial attitude is still alive and well. Developed countries are showing that the route that led to their development is being closed to emerging countries. In terms of absolute cumulative (carbon) emissions, affluent countries have emitted 15 times more than poor countries since 1850 “Prime Minister Modi stated. India had encouraged industrialised countries that had “enjoyed the advantages of energy” to reach net zero sooner so that developing economies may use some “carbon space” to promote growth during the COP26 climate negotiations in Scotland earlier this month.

PM Modi also chastised those who, in his words, “unnecessarily obstruct growth.” “Unfortunately, we too have such persons in our country who, in the name of freedom of speech, stymie the nation’s growth without comprehending the nation’s goals. These folks do not face the brunt of the problem, but moms who do not have access to energy for their children do “According to the Prime Minister. On November 26, Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, is commemorated to mark the promulgation of India’s Constitution.

PM Modi spoke to the judiciary today in this context. “The Constitution gave birth to both the judiciary and the executive branch; thus, we are twins who, despite our differences in appearance, are descended from the same source. Although there is a concept of separation of powers, we all have a joint duty that can only move the country forward “Prime Minister Modi stated.
