News Desk – A shocking murder case has come to light in Meerut, where Muskan Rastogi allegedly killed her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer, with the help of her boyfriend, Sahil Shukla. The police revealed that Muskan manipulated Sahil by making him believe that his dead mother was talking to him through Snapchat.
How Muskan Planned the Murder
- Muskan started planning the murder in November and even bought two knives for ₹800, telling the shopkeeper they were for cutting chicken.
- She faked having anxiety to get prescription pills, which she later used to drug Saurabh.
- Muskan and Sahil’s drug use was a concern for her parents, who alleged that they killed Saurabh out of fear that he would stop their drug habits.
- To manipulate Sahil, Muskan created a Snapchat account and sent messages pretending to be his dead mother, convincing him that she had reincarnated and was speaking to him.
Murder Execution
- Muskan searched for places to bury Saurabh’s body. She even asked her friends about it, but no one helped.
- Saurabh returned to Meerut on February 24 to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.
- On February 25, Muskan mixed pills in his alcohol, but he did not drink it.
- On March 4, she and Sahil drugged and stabbed Saurabh to death. They then cut his body into pieces, sealed it inside a drum with cement, and tried to hide it.
Their Relationship History
- Muskan and Saurabh got married in 2016 after being in a relationship. They had a six-year-old daughter.
- Muskan and Sahil had been school friends and reconnected in 2019 through a WhatsApp group.
- The police continue to investigate this gruesome crime, which has left many in shock.
