NewsHamirpur Horror: The father of a gang-rape victim ends his life.

Date:

One of the two maternal sisters, who had been gangraped, was discovered hanging in a village in the Kanpur district on February 29. The deceased was their father. His relatives claim that the man committed suicide because he was under pressure from the accused’s relatives to drop the gangrape lawsuit. KANPUR The police have charged the wife and daughter of a brick kiln contractor for aiding and abetting suicide, one day after the father of a deceased gangrape victim allegedly committed suicide in the Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. According to the police, a complaint under Section 306 of the IPC was filed against Nirmalam, the wife of brick kiln contractor Ram Roop Nishad, and their daughter.

Maternal sisters, ages 14 and 15, who were found hanging in a village in the Kanpur district on February 29 after being gangraped, were the deceased’s father. He filed a complaint with the Ghatampur police in Kanpur regarding the gangraping and suicide of two girls. His relatives claim that the man committed suicide because he was under pressure from the accused’s relatives to drop the gangrape lawsuit.

About two kilometers from his residence, the body was discovered late on Wednesday at noon, hanging from a babool tree. His body was discovered by his family during the search after he had left the house without telling anyone.

The family members of the girls had earlier claimed that Ram Roop, 48, the brick kiln contractor, his son Raju, 18, and his nephew Sanjay, 19, had gang-raped the minor just days before they died. According to the police, both the accused and the victims were from the same village in nearby Hamirpur. The police claimed that during their investigation, they found a video in nearby Hamirpur, which they used to blackmail the girls. On February 29, the bodies were found, and the same day, Kanpur police detained all three of the accused. They were under the protection of the Children Against Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act, IPC sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 376D (gang rape). The family was purportedly under tremendous pressure to drop the lawsuit, so it was unclear why they were not given security.

The family informed police that on Tuesday, Nirmala had gotten into a fight with a girl’s father in Hamirpur and forced him to drop the case. Sanjay Singh, the SHO of the Sisolar police station, was subsequently fired for neglecting his job. The topic took on political significance when Congressman Rahl Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra questioned the BJP government’s inability to stop the sharp increase in gender-based violence and justice.

Priyanka wrote in a post on X that two young girls who were raped by gangs killed themselves. One of these girls’ fathers has now also taken his own life. Allegation: He was under increasing pressure to give in. In Uttar Pradesh, destroying the families of victims has become the norm. There is not a shred of law in this lawlessness, and being a woman has become a crime.
