In the statement Ramesh raised important Women’s Day, which is observed globally today.  Ramesh raised important issues regarding women’s issues in India. The Congress general secretary in charge of communication, Jiram Ramesh, started out by outlining the terrible circumstances in Manipur, a state that has been experiencing a virtual civil war for more than a year.

There are videos online showing women being beaten and paraded in their underwear in a state where the BJP is in power both at the state and federal levels. The prime minister Narendra Modi should be visiting the state, but why hasn’t he bothered? He inquired; Ramesh questioned Modi’s silence regarding the claims made by female fighters against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh regarding the sexual harassment.

What position does the prime minister have on this matter? Is Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh a part of Modi Ka Parivar according to prime minister Modi? Referring to the BJP’s vigorous effort to counter RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s job at Prime Minister Modi, Ramesh posted on X.

Mehngayii hai to modi hai! The cost of food and other necessities has increased dramatically. He wrote Does the Prime Minister have a strategy to protect households from the worst effects of this price increase?

Concerning the effect of the high unemployment rate on female job seekers, Ramesh referred to the Modi government as the “Anyay Kaal” (era of injustice).

The proportion of women in the labor force has decreased by 20 % since Dr. Manmohan Singh took office, a development that could jeopardize the long-term prospects of the economy. Is the Prime Minister able to find a way to get women back into the workforce? He continued, the Congress leader also questioned the effectiveness of the Beti Bacho Beto Pdao Yojana, claiming that meaningful programs to combat female infanticide and promote education are being prioritized over the large portion of the program’s budget that is allocated to advertisement. Is the Prime Minister’s plan to end female infanticide and advance women’s education more significant? Or is the problem just an excuse to put his face on a billboard and give him another way to market himself? He stated.
