Despite a threat to his life, Abhay Chautala charged that the Haryana government had neglected to provide security for Nafe Singh Rathee. The president of the Indian National Lok Dal’s Haryana unit, Nafe Singh Rathee, was informed earlier that his life was in danger, according to Abhay Chautala of the party. Rathee was assassinated on Sunday in Bahadurgarh, near Delhi by assailants who have not been identified. When the attackers fired shots into the SUV, Nafe Singh Rathee and a party worker named Jai Kishan perished.

Visiting the hospital in Bahadurgarh where the bodies were kept, Abhay Chautala demanded the resignation of home minister Anil Vij and chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, accusing the Haryana government of failing to provide security for Nafe Singh Rathee despite a threat to his life. In remarks to reporters there, Abhay Chautala called for an investigation into the incident by the CBI.

Our state unit chief, a two-time MLA, did not receive security. According to a news agency, Abhay Chautala stated that he had written to the state home minister and senior police stating that he was being threatened and should have security.

Rathee had previously told me that he was told he faced a threat to his life by certain police officers six months prior. Afterward, I also called SP Jhajjar and informed him of this.. According to Abhay Chautala, this kind of circumstances would not have happened if he had been given security. Three private gunmen that Rathee had employed for security, according to Abhay Chautala, were also hurt. When the attackers, who were riding in a car, attacked the 67-year-old INLD leader in Bahadurgarh town in the Jhajjar district, he was traveling in an SUV. He was hit by a barrage of bullets, according to Abhay Chautala.

Rathee had severe blood loss and injuries in his neck, stomach, spine and thighs, according to hospital doctors. In 1996 and 2005, Rathee won two elections to the Bahadurgarh seat as an MLA.

Manohar Lal Khattar expressed shock at the incident and declared that not a single person guilty in this case will go free. He said that police have been told to take the harshest measures and apprehend the suspect as soon as possible.’

We are the bereaved family during this trying time; please accept my sincere condolences. There will be no leniency for any of the guilty parties in this case.
