Lucknow: Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief and an MLA on Samajwadi Party symbol, Shivpal Yadav changed his twitter background on Saturday after casting his vote. Shivpal’s background says, Yes We are ready (hain tayyar hum). On friday Shivpal said, now the time of decision has arrived.
In recently held legislative assembly elections, Shipal Yadav, uncle of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh were in an alliance. Shivpal contested on the symbol of Samajwadi Party i.e. Cycle. Technically Shivpal is Samajwadi Party’s MLA, but Akhilesh treats him as an alliance partner. That’s why Akhilesh hadn’t called him in a SP MLAs meet. Only after this incident Shivpal Yadav is annoyed to Akhilesh and again wanted to choose a different path as he did in the past years after a interfamily political conflict just before 2017 elections.
Relations between them are not smooth
If we talk about relations between both of them, they are not smooth since Akhilesh became CM in 2012. Then, the state president of the party, Shivpal Yadav wants himself at the post of Chief Minister if not his brother Mulayam Singh Yadav. Not only Mulayam announced Akhilesh to be CM but also directed Shivpal to propose his name for CM in the all MLAs meet in 2012. Shivpal did so but there was rift in the relation.

In 2016, Shivpal organised a press conference, in which Mulayam Singh Yadav, father of Akhilesh the then CM, expelled him from the party for 6 years. After this incident Akhilesh opened the attack over Shivpal and he didn’t stopped untill he get the national president post of the party with it’s symbol. Shivpal made his own party after 2017 elections, though he was the MLA on the symbol of Samajwadi Party.
Shivpal may be next deputy speaker
Sources claims that BJP will try to use Shivpal Yadav for its benifit. BJP could propose him as a deputy speaker of the assembly as it did last time by making Nitin Agrawal as deputy speaker. Nitin was also technically SP’s MLA though he has his dearness with BJP after his father Naresh Agrawal, Rajya Sabha Member, left Samajwadi Party, joined BJP. While some other says that there are chances that Shivpal may be Rajya Sabha Member and on his vacant seat i.e. Jaswantnagar, BJP may field his son Aditya.
