NationalWar of words erupts between Union Finance Minister, TRS

Date:

Hyderabad: A war of words erupted between the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after she took the collector of Kamareddy district Jitesh V Patil for not putting up Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flex at a ration shop in Birkur village.

As she took Patil to task, TRS criticised Sitharaman for her unruly behaviour. She also said that at least 2,000 farmers committed in the state from 2017 to 2019. She said that politics should not be done in the name of farmers.  She also publicly pulled up Patil when he was unable to give any reasons for not putting up Modi’s flex at the ration shop. She also said that the Centre had been providing free rations to the poor since April last year.
