Gurugram: A six-year-old girl died in Dhana village near the Manesar area of Haryana on Wednesday when a motorcycle hit her, the police said on Thursday.
The girl has been identified as Anshika Sharma. The father of the girl filed a complaint saying that the incident occurred around 6:30pm when Anshika was returning from tuition with her mother.
He said that a man on a motorcycle came from the opposite direction and hit her. The injured girl was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
The police said that an FIR had been registered against the culprit. According to assistant sub-inspector Chandan Singh, the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem and efforts are on to nab the accused.
