New Delhi/Panaji: The two associates of BJP leader Sonali Phogat from Haryana drugged her at a party before her mysterious death in Goa, the Goa police said on Friday. On the grounds of the complaint lodged by Phogat’s brother Pinku Dhaka, the police arrested both of her associates. According to inspector general of police Omvir Singh Bishnoi, the CCTV footage revealed that the accused Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhinder Singh were having a party with Phogat at a club. One of the accused made her consume a substance, Bishnoi said.

Forty-two-year-old Phogat arrived in Goa on August 22 with Sagwan and Sukhinder. Bishnoi further said that they had intentionally mixed some harmful chemicals into a liquid and made her consume it. Dhaka alleged that her personal trainer Sangwan in cahoots with Sukhinder murdered to grab her properties.
