New Delhi: There was a stampede-like situation at a girls’ school in New Delhi on Friday when a fire broke out in the school, official sources. On getting information at 1:30pm from the government girls’ senior secondary school, Maujpur, the fire officials rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

The fire broke out in an electric panel board and there were no injuries to anyone. The local police also reached the scene to assist the rescue operation. As soon as the news spread, the parents of the students rushed to the school. Many children ran here and there for cover. The authorities pressed fire engines into service. Nevertheless, nobody was injured in the incident, the police said.
