This was the second incident of rape of a minor in the past four days, after a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The four-year-old girl was found unconscious in bushes near Jaswadi area of Khandwa district of the state.

Khandwa (MP): A four-year-old girl has been raped in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. This was the second incident of rape of a minor girl in the past four days, after a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The four-year-old girl was found unconscious in a coppice near Jaswadi area of the district, the police said on Tuesday.

In the earlier incident that took place in Guna, the girl was found unconscious behind a house in Chachoda area of the district on Friday. Five people gang-raped the girl, a student of class 10.

According to reports the four-year-old girl, who went missing from her house since Monday, was raped and thrown in the bushes at Jaswadi in Khandwa district. She was on a visit to the house of a relative who works in farmland and the family lives there.

After she went missing, her family members began to search for her in nearby areas. As her family members did not find the girl anywhere, they lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station.

According to superintendent of police Vivek Singh, the police got a tipoff that a minor girl had gone missing from her house. They registered a missing person complaint and began to search for the girl, Singh said, adding that the police arrested the accused who was working in a roadside motel. On the grounds of information provided by the accused, the police found the girl and sent her to Indore, for better treatment.
