NationalLukewarm response forced Shah to tell people to clap: Kushwaha

Date:

Patna: President of the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Parliamentary Board Upendra Kushwaha said on Saturday that there was no enthusiasm among those who had attended Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Purnea district of Bihar on Friday.

Kushwaha also said that lack of enthusiasm among the public forced Shah to ask people to clap for his speech. According to him, the people clapped for Shah’s speech only when he requested them to do so, which clearly indicated that the people of Bihar had no faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The people have understood the lies of the BJP, he said.

Meanwhile, JD-U spokesperson Abhishek Jha said that the BJP blamed his party for breaching trust, but he wanted to know the reasons for the members leaving the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The BJP is in the habit of backstabbing its alliance, Jha said, adding that they should not forget the 2015 assembly elections of Bihar where the party won only 53 seats, though Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed 42 rallies.

A spokesperson of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Mrityunjay Tiwari said that Shah did not say anything about giving special status to Bihar, which the people were expecting. The people of Bihar are fed up with the lies of the BJP, he said.

Giriraj Singh not allowed to attend Shah’s meeting

Security personnel stopped the Union minister from entering the venue of the meeting at Kishanganj where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was holding dialogues with the party leaders and that enraged Singh so much that he returned to circuit house without attending the meeting. Because Singh did not have a pass, he was stopped at the gate, but some senior BJP leaders pacified Singh who attended the meeting, party sources said.
