New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge went to the office of the Young Indian Limited (YIL) on Thursday to assist the officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in search operations in connection with the National Herald case. Kharge’s action came in the wake of ED officials’ allegations that Kharge and Pawan Bansal were not cooperating with the probe agency during the probe.

A team of the probe agency went to the YIL office on Thursday, a day after sealing the office for search operation. Earlier, Kharge was also questioned in connection with the National Herald case. The ED officials also opened the YIL office which was sealed temporarily. The officials said that the Congress leaders were not cooperating with them. The Congress, however, said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become highly vindictive because the opposition has planned to launch a nation-wide stir against the price rise, inflation and rising unemployment on August 5. It is doing vendetta politics because it has failed on all counts.
