Dindori (MP): The storm over Congress MP Adhir Chowdhury’s ‘Rashtrapatni’ remark has refused to die down, although he has sought an apology from President Droupadi Murmu after an uproar over the issue in Parliament. For his comment, a first information report (FIR) has been registered against Chowdhury in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh, sources said on Sunday.

According to the FIR, various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were used against Chowdhury, including promoting enmity between different groups. It has been sent to the Parliament House police station in Delhi, the police said. According to the inspector at the Dindori Kotwali police station, superintendent of police Sanjay Singh has sent the FIR to Delhi police for investigation.
