Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked to consider increasing the fine for not wearing masks in public places in the state. CM Yogi said that if a person is found without wearing a mask in public places, then the penalty amount can be increased on him. He said that this needs to be done to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. The Chief Minister was reviewing the unlock system on Tuesday.
He said that people should be made aware that they leave the house only when it is absolutely necessary. The public should be motivated and encouraged to make ‘two yards away, mask is necessary’ as an essential part of their daily lives. He said that if a mask is found in a public place, then the penalty amount can be increased. He directed the Health Department to issue necessary guidelines in this regard.
Expressing satisfaction over the establishment of more than 33,000 Covid help desks in the state so far, the Chief Minister stressed on the smooth functioning of it. He instructed the residents of Child Protection Home, Women’s Protection Home and Old Age Home to get information about infection by conducting regular health tests. He said that if any person is found infected, proper treatment should be ensured.
Yogi Adityanath directed the Health Department to ensure additional arrangements of ambulance at district level in the state. Instructing for increase in testing capacity, he said that in addition to rapid antigen test, 30,000 tests should be done daily from ‘RTPCR’. He also instructed to provide information about the health status of the patient after regular communication with the relatives of the patients admitted in Kovid hospitals.
He said that to prevent infection, sanitation and sanitization have to be made part of the system. It is necessary to do this to prevent communicable diseases including infection of covid-19.
