Election Commission extended the voting time by one hour

New Delhi: In the upcoming assembly elections, the Election Commission has extended the time for voting by one hour. Recently, many political parties have demanded the Election Commission to extend the voting time in view of the guidelines created in the wake of Corona virus, which has been accepted by the Election Commission.

Central Election Commissioner Sunil Arora arrived in Chennai on a visit to Tamil Nadu to take stock of the preparations for the assembly elections. In a press conference held during this time, he said, “When more than one state assembly elections are held simultaneously, the counting of votes cannot take place in a day or two.”

The Chief Election Commissioner said, when elections are held for several states at the same time, when we remove the result of one state, it can affect the result of another state. He said, with this, the population of each state varies, due to which the voting time is also different. Therefore, we will also declare the result one day.
