The incident shocked the residents of the national capital which has just seen a crime in which a man Aftab Amin Poonawalla polished off his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar and cut her body into 35 pieces which he dumped in different locations in the city.

New Delhi: A 25-year-old man liquidated four members of his family at Palam in Delhi after an argument over his not having a stable job, the police said on Wednesday.

Those who were polished off were identified as the man’s grandmother Deewana Devi, his father Dinesh, mother Darshana and his 18-year-old sister Urvashi.

The murderer Keshav, a drug addict, has recently returned from a rehabilitation centre. According to deputy commissioner of police (southwest) Major C, the Palam police station had received a call at 10:30pm on Tuesday night about an altercation going on in a house. A team rushed to the spot.

They came across a horrid sight. Four bodies were lying in a pool of blood, but the police collared the murderer who was trying to escape, the official said, adding that an altercation between the man and his family members over his job led to the murders.
