Mathura (UP): A student from Delhi drowned in Mansi Ganga Kund at Govardhan in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, the police said. The incident occurred when the 18-year-old boy Tarun was taking a bath in the Kund. Tarun was part of a team of 48 students who were on a tour of Govardhan. The students were from a coaching centre in Delhi Mangolpuri.

The students visited Mukut Mukhabindu temple on Sunday morning. At noon, they arrived at Mansi Ganga Kund. While they were taking a bath, three of them went deep into the water. A few locals saved two, but Tarun drowned. Divers fished out his body from the lake. His parents have been informed about the tragedy, the police said.
