New Delhi: In the era of Coronavirus epidemic, the Modi government has taken a big decision in view of the cut in expenses. Under this, the government has now decided to stop government printing activities. That is, now printing of calendar, diary, scheduler and other material will not be done by various ministries, departments, government companies and banks. Now all these materials will be published in digital form. The government has implemented this decision with immediate effect.
On Monday, in a statement from the Finance Ministry, it was said that the whole world is increasingly adopting digital format. The Government of India has also decided to adopt best practice. There will also be no printing of coffee table books and the use of e-books will be encouraged. The Ministry has said that all concerned departments should adopt digital and online formats in this regard.
According to the Finance Ministry, the Government of India will not further publish physical wall calendars, desktop calendars, diaries, festival greeting cards and other similar material on behalf of any ministry and department. All such material, which was previously published in physical form, will now be published in detail.
