Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday that the Congress administration in Punjab cannot be forgiven for PM Narendra Modi’s security violation on his route to Ferozepur.
According to Rajnath Singh, the prime minister symbolises the country and is an institution that everyone should respect.
“Punjab is ruled by the Congress party. Could we have predicted a security breach in the prime minister’s convoy, such as the one that occurred yesterday (on Wednesday)? ” Rajnath asked.

“It will be difficult to prevent the breakdown of the country’s democratic institutions if we cannot safeguard the safety of institutions like the prime minister’s,” Rajnath Singh said at the BJP’s final Vijay Sankalp rally in Uttarkashi.
“I’ve also held the position of chief minister. This kind of obnoxious politics has never been acceptable to us “Singh wondered if the Congress could be forgiven for the incident with the prime minister’s security in Punjab.
He also chastised Harish Rawat, the Congress’ Uttarakhand campaign manager, for claiming that Modi visits the state for commercial purposes.
Rawat was also accused by the minister of attempting to take credit for the rebuilding of Kedarnath by claiming that Modi was meditating in a cave created during his tenure as chief minister.
“If that’s the case, how come you couldn’t summon the bravery to meditate in that cave?” Rajnath Singh asked.
Singh, on the other hand, did not mention Rawat by name, instead referring to him as a former chief minister seeking re-election.
“I have never made unsubstantiated claims about any of our prime ministers, whether Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, or Deve Gowda, because the prime minister’s office is a democratic institution that everyone should respect,” the defence minister stated.

In response to the Congress’ claim that the BJP had replaced two chief ministers in Uttarakhand, Singh replied that all of the party’s chief ministers had functioned admirably.
“We would not have changed anyone if we had gone to the polls projecting someone as the chief ministerial candidate.” The party fought the polls and appointed whoever it considered was the best candidate for the position of CM. “It’s an issue of the party’s internal politics,” he stated.
“A national party has a lot of responsibilities. Which services are required by the organisation and which are required by Parliament… If we want, we can change our chief minister ten times. Why should you be bothered by it? ” Singh asked.
The difference between the BJP and other parties, according to Singh, is that BJP always sticks to their words, there is no gap between what they say and what they do.
In support of his claim, Singh cited the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He takes all the instances of the BJP’s efforts to create Uttarakhand as a model state under the leadership of Modi.
