Kolkata: Chaos prevails in the West Bengal state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was evident after the party’s top leadership issued an order to remove the head of its legal cell, sources said on Saturday. The order came on the heels of a complaint of the IT head of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at the Posta police station in Kolkata accusing the legal cell head of physically and mentally torturing him.
Both of them are males. In the complaint, it was stated that the man who heads the party’s legal cell in the sought sexual favour from the BJYM IT cell head. When the incidents occurred, both of them were in Sikkim for some work of the party. The complainant said that they were accompanied by two jawans of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The cops on duty allegedly threatened the complainant and snatched his mobile phone and other belongings on a train when he opposed the legal cell head. This happened when both were returning to Kolkata.
The top BJP bosses in Delhi are disappointed about the development. They directed the state party leaders to probe the case. As the state BJP unit is in a bad nick, the CPIM is taking the advantage.
