Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for announcing a package of 03 lakh crores for the MSME sector. He said that the MSME sector will be strengthened in the country and the state by this step of the Central Government. This will give a new dimension to the Prime Minister’s initiative to make the local global. Our country will not only succeed in recovering from the global Covid-19 epidemic, but will emerge as a big economic power in the world as a self-reliant, self-reliant and strong India.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of units of MSME sector. About 03 crore people are employed directly and indirectly in the MSME sector in the state. With the inspiration of the Prime Minister, the State Government had started an effort to revive the MSME sector through the ‘One District-One Product’ scheme. The blockage caused by the Corona crisis will help in removing the package announced by the Central Government and the steps taken for the EPF of the personnel of this sector.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has already held a meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee keeping in mind the MSME sector. State level online credit distribution fair is going to start in the state from May 14, 2020 for the MSME sector. In this, more than 36,000 MSME units will be disbursed with an estimated loan of 1600 to 2,000 crores.
