Mumbai: Around 40 people have allegedly thrashed four persons after a dispute at a gym in Palghar district of Maharashtra.
The police registered a case against three identified and over 35 unidentified people in connection with the case.
The incident of thrashing took place on Wednesday when the accused were exercising at the gym in Kudus village.
When one of the victims dropped a dumbbell, one of the accused hurled caste-related abuses at the person concerned.
Afterward, the victim and other accomplices went to a shop. The group of the accused also reached there and beat up four persons.
The police registered a case, but did not arrest anyone.
