Bhopal: Three students of a technical institute in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh, took a video clip of their 19-year-old female friend when she was changing her clothes in a bathroom and demanded money from the girl, threatening her to make the video clip viral on social media, the police said on Saturday.
After the girl lodged a complaint, the police arrested one of the students and began to search for two others. The technical institute, where they study, is located in Govindpura area in the city. The trio made the video clip of the girl on September 17.
The accused showed the video clip to one of the friends of the girl and demanded Rs 7,000 and said that they would make the picture viral on social media. When the girl came to know of it, she was at home and was so panicked that she left her home without saying anything to anyone. Her family members, then, lodged a missing person’s complaint. When the search began, the girl was found at the Bhopal railway station, the police said.
