Bollywood actress who has turned an author in recent times, Mrs Funnybones, the one and only Twinkle Khanna met UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak lately. Twinkle’s husband, the Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was also present in the event. For the unversed, Sunak is the son-in-law of famous educator and writer Sudha Murthy whom Twinkle had interviewed in 2021 for a digital platform.

Twinkle and Akshay were wearing formal and semi-formal outfits and they posed happily with the UK PM. In her caption to the Reels video, Twinkle quipped about wearing high heels for the event. She wrote, “As much as I dislike wearing heels and dressing up, this evening was worth all the damaged toes. @sudha_murthy_official remains my hero, but it was pretty cool meeting her son-in-law, the prime minister 🙂 @rishisunakmp Also put the sound on and hear @andreabocelliofficial. It was in 2021 when her digital platform Tweak India completed two years. That time, Twinkle went on to feature an interview with Sudha Murthy wherein the duo discussed about their lives and choices. During the talk show, Twinkle shared how children coming from rich families have a certain amount of guilt. She asked Sudha Murthy of how she managed to ensure that her children remained humble. Sudha commented that one is the best friend to themselves and one is the worst enemy of themselves. It meant that one shouldn’t depend on anyone else except themselves.
Bollywood actress Twinkle left the film industry in 2001 after she got married to actor Akshay Kumar. She made her acting debut in 1995 with Barsaat. In 2015, she kickstarted her career as a writer with the pen name Mrs. Funnybones. She came up with books like The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad and Pyjamas Are Forgiving.
She is quite active on Instagram and often posts photos of her life. She has become popular for her witty and funny posts that poke fun at not just herself but also other well-known people, including Prince Harry.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has several projects in his kitty. His upcoming movies include Mission Raniganj, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. Akshay despite having worked for over three decades in Bollywood is said to be the busiest actor even now. His film’s themes are broad and often portray him as a responsible citizen of India. He has worked in different genres like comedy, drama, action, thriller, social movies, etc.
Akshay and Twinkle have two children: one son and one daughter. Being a protective father, he ensures to keep his children away from the media. Kumar was noted to be a practicing Shaiva Hindu as he visited religious temples and shrines all over the country. However in March 2020 when he was asked about his religious views, he stated that he doesn’t believe in any religion and is only an Indian.
