Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has welcomed the New Year 2022 with a beautiful video in a spiritual manner. He has recited the Gayatri Mantra, which is also called the Savitri Mantra. Gayatri is the name of the Goddess of the Vedic Mantra in which the poem is created. Akshay shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “New year, same me. Woke up and greeted my old friend, the sun, and started my 2022 with all things positive except for Covid. Praying for everyone’s good health and happiness. Akshay is presently holidaying with his daughter Nitara and wife Twinkle Khanna in the Maldives. In the video posted on Instagram, he can be seen standing outside his cottage in the ocean wherein he is facing the sun with his back towards the camera. He can be seen reciting the Gayatri Mantra. Akshay and his family went to the Maldives to celebrate the New year 2022. It was such a good time that even Twinkle’s birthday on 29 December 2021 was celebrated with much enthusiasm during their holidays.

Akshay had wished Twinkle with a photo of them relaxing out in the Maldives. He wrote, “With you by my side, even the blues are easy to take in my stride… Happy birthday Tina.” It is interesting to note that Twinkle’s birthday is on the same day as her late superstar father, Rajesh Khanna. Twinkle had even shared on social media a unique picture from her childhood and wrote, “He always said I was the best present he could have ever received, as I tumbled feet first into the world on his birthday. A little star looking up at the biggest one in the galaxy. It’s our day together, now and forever.”

Atrangi Re movie had an OTT release, it was Akshay’s third film in which Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush played important roles.
