Mauni Amavasya, the third Shahi Snan is a significant day for snan during this Maha Kumbh Mela. It was expected to see over 10 crore devotees gathering at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj and as expected crores of people taking bath.Today pilgrims from all over the country and abroad is taking a dip in the holy waters with the believe that it will cleanse themselves of sins and seek blessings. The Mauni Amavasya is also a time when devotees bathe being silent (maun) as part of spiritual practices and believe that it will be more fruitful.

The Shahi Snan is an auspicious event, where sadhus, mahatmas, and naga sadhus from different akharas take holy dip,which attract more people to watch them and take blessings, it becomes highly significant moment of the Kumbh Mela. The gathering on this day is immense, making it the most crowded and one of the most important days of the entire Kumbh Mela.

A total of 44 ghats have been constructed along a 12-km stretch to ensure a hassle-free snan experience for devotees at the Maha Kumbh 2025. Each ghat is equipped with modern facilities, including changing rooms, toilets, and other essentials to accommodate the large number of pilgrims. These efforts made byour honorable PM Mr. Narendra Modi, CM A. Yogi and all government officials are aimed at providing comfort and convenience to over 10 crore devotees expected to take part in the Kumbh, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for everyone participating in the sacred event.

Devotees have been arriving in Prayagraj from different parts of the country, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab, and even southern cities. The large number of pilgrims shows how important the Maha Kumbh is for people across India, as they come to take a holy dip in the sacred river.Not only are devotees coming from different parts of India, but the Maha Kumbh is also attracting foreign visitors. People from all over the world are joining the huge gathering to experience the spiritual significance and take part in the holy dip

The Mauni Amavasya Snan officially began late last night with a special period called ‘Amrit Snan.’ However, a small stampede occurred, causing some hassle among the crowd. The situation was quickly managed and resolved by the officials. To ensure a smoother experience for the devotees, the sanyasis decided to postpone their snan from late night to this afternoon. All the baba’s agreed to this decision so that devotees could take their bath more peacefully and without any disruptions.
