Holi Natural Colours: Make Chemical-Free Holi Colours At Home

Holi is one of the prominent colourful and exuberant Hindu festivals. The festival is celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm and more zeal. Holi celebrations of  Mathura, Vrindavan, Gowardhan, Gokul, Nandagaon, and Barsana are popular all over the world. Holi is all about fun and enjoyment but it’s also critical to consider safety.

Contemporary markets have no organic colours and the rate of pure natural colours are at peak. Chemical added holi colour can cause severe problems from your skin to health; thus, it is advised to prepare natural holi colours at home. 

Here we mentioned the easy methods to make natural and safe holi colours at home. Follow the steps to make beautiful holi colours. 

Yellow colour 

Take besan and stir it, after that add the turmeric powder, kneading it between your palms until thoroughly combined. Use a ratio of 20:80 of turmeric and besan. After that, filter it at least two to three times using a fine strainer.

Red colour 

You can obtain fabulous red colour by drying the red hibiscus blossoms. Grate hibiscus or China rose flowers into a fine powder after they have been sufficiently dried. In its substitute, red sandalwood can be also used. Use rice flour to get dry red colour and to get a moist colour, boil the pomegranate peel.

Green colour 

Henna or Mehendi powder can be used to make green gulal. Any green leafy vegetable, such as spinach or Neem, can be used to create a moist colour. When the leaves are dipped in water, they turn green.

Purple colour 

4-5 black carrots, grated and ground in a mixer grinder Combine it with 250g of maize flour and mix thoroughly with your hands. To make it smell nice, add 10 ml rosewater. Allow it to dry before sieving it.
