Here are some natural ways of dealing with the changes of menopause:

1) Express yourself: Many times, women may go through negative emotions such as anxiety, insomnia, depression, stress, etc. because of the range of things happening inside the body. Instead of focusing on the negatives, always keep your mind distracted by the positive things in your life. You can share whatever you feel like but in a tone that people understand you and do not frown upon you for being yourself.

2) Keep your body moving: It is important to stay fit and healthy and this can be achieved if you regularly exercise and also practice yoga. If you are someone who is doing all the household chores by yourself, you can still stay fit because our Indian households demand a lot of stretching and bending work while cleaning, cooking, etc. which will help you to keep your body moving.

3) Accept and love yourself: Accepting your changed self and loving yourself the way you are will itself make you feel good. You can simply look at the mirror and thank God for making you the way you are evolving. Do not compare your current self with your younger self and set unrealistic expectations. You can talk to your inner self and tell how much you are agreeing to the changes that are happening inside and outside your self and body. The more affirmative you are with your body and mind, the more you will find yourself going ahead in life with no pain – either physical or emotional.

4) Try for medicines that suit you: There may be some bodily changes that may lead to loss of hair or feeling of weakness throughout the day, etc. You can figure out which medicines suit you – if it is Ayurveda or Homeopathy or Allopathy or Naturopathy and consult a good doctor in that field. You can share your thoughts with your doctor who will also guide you to make some lifestyle changes that will help you to manage the menopause-related symptoms and lead a good life.
