Basant Panchami Celebration: Basant Panchami is one of the significant festivals in India that is also called ‘Saraswati Puja’ in different parts of the country. This festival will be celebrated on Saturday, February 5, marking the beginning of the spring season in India.

Every year on the 5th day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month of Magha, which is normally around late January or early February, it is commemorated.
The festival is associated with Saraswati, a Hindu goddess who represents education, music, and the arts. Saraswati Puja ceremonies are performed during the ‘Anubujh’ muhurta, which is considered an auspicious time.
During the Panchami Tithi, the best time to pray to Goddess Saraswati is in the morning (fifth date). The entire day, however, is considered auspicious, especially for students.
Vasant Panchami Muhurat – To worship Maa Saraswati or celebrate Saraswati Puja, the auspicious period will start from 07:07 AM to 12:35 PM. During the Panchami Tithi, the best time to pray to Goddess Saraswati is in the morning (fifth date). The entire day, however, is considered auspicious.

How to perform Saraswati Puja- Kesar, Haldi, Kalash, Akshat, Mango wood and leaves, Kumkum, Gangajal, Naivedya, Shodash Matrika, Havan samidha, Chandan, Saraswati yantra, and Durva dal are all required for the Saraswati puja. While performing the puja, it is recommended to wear traditional yellow dress and serve saffron sweets as prasad.
Spread a yellow/red cloth on the wooden platform and set the portrait or idol of goddess Saraswati on it to begin the Basant Panchami puja. Place your books or your children’s school books at the feet of goddess Saraswati.
Light a lamp with ghee/mustard oil or sesame oil, as well as some incense sticks. Invite Maa Saraswati to receive your offerings and devotion during your prayer.
