Good mental health utmost importance in times of Covid-19

Mental health has been getting impacted by almost every Indian nowadays due to the rising cases of coronavirus infections and deaths. There is a lot of debate going on about the confirmed number of cases and confirmed deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic. But let me tell you one thing that the negative effects of the virus are far and wide. Now it is not about how many cases are there in a particular city or state, it is about how people are getting affected due to such negativity all around the country due to the pandemic.

Hence, in such a huge blow and crisis times one has to stay strong mentally, and here are some tips for the same.

1) Everyday a lot gets written and let me tell you a lot will be written and spoken about the pandemic in the coming months or years. It is an open platform where people are going to say everything that they know on the basis of data and also on the basis of emotions. Thus, one has to be strong and accept reality as it is without judging further. If you find yourself stuck in a conversation with a friend and the person is only talking about the virus and making you feel weaker to imagine how terrible our lives are and are going to become, just STOP.

2) Do not surround yourself with negative people and negative information. It is okay to say NO than crying later or not voicing out how you feel. If the room has people watching the news and talking only about the virus and its effects, stay away from that room and such views.

3) Do what you like. Do you like singing? Then start singing for one hour every day. If your passion is dancing, then play the music and groove to the beats. If you love writing, just take a pen and paper and start writing or you can start blogging. There has to be one hour of your day dedicated for you to do what you love and no excuse for not finding that one hour.

4) Take a break. If you are unable to follow your commitments at work or in your personal life, it is okay to tell them honestly how you feel and take a break. Nothing huge will happen because you are a human and you need self-care as well.
