The United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced heavy rains that led to flooding across major cities like Dubai. In Oman, the situation is worse with the death toll rising to 18 and several others missing.

This unusual weather started overnight and continued into the morning, causing delays and cancellations at Dubai International Airport.

Schools were closed and government workers were advised to work from home. To manage the flooding, authorities deployed tanker trucks to pump water off.

The weather system brought rain to other Gulf countries as well, including Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
