Within the inauguration days by PM Modi, the Mumbai trans harbour link has become the picnic place for members of the public who were stopped by their vehicles on the bridge to take pictures and selfies. Many people take their pictures there and post them on social media. It shows that people climb and litter the railing to take selfies, in complete rules disregard. One of the videos also shows a couple crossing a bridge ladder to get on the platform.

Atul Setu bridge 

Premium, The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, was inaugurated through Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai on Friday, January 12. 

Since the inauguration of Atal Setu in Mumbai, almost 8,000 vehicles have used the 21.8 km long link avenue. Interestingly, the sector-class sea bridge has attracted a huge number of selfie lovers who are coming to MTHL just for a laugh.

Mumbai Police issues warning.

Reacting to the posts, Mumbai Police has issued a warning on social media, threatening to take strict action to stop pictures of Atal Setu. ”We agree that Atal Setu is truly ‘well worth a watch’; however, it’s also unlawful to stop on it & click pics. You will face FIR in case you halt MTHL,” Mumbai Traffic Police wrote, alongside numerous snapshots of people flouting policies. ”Atal Setu, Not a 21.8 km lengthy picnic spot,” the text on the snapshots reads. 

Despite restrictions on stopping cars midway on the ocean bridge, many motorists have been noticed not only parking their cars at the bridge but also mountain climbing the railing to take selfies. Alarmed by the over-enthusiasm of motorists, Mumbai Police has issued a warning on social media to take strict moves on stopping vehicles on Atal Setu.

People halt on MTHL.

Several viral photographs and videos display humans clicking selfies and stopping at the bridge to experience the view of the sea. Many of them even attempted to get access to areas that would flip dangerous for those involved, in addition to littering, with pics, videos, and reels flooding social media.

The minimal one-way toll at the 21.9-kilometre sea bridge that links Sewri in Mumbai to Chirle in neighboring Raigad is Rs250. It isn’t always allowed to stop vehicles at the bridge. Conclusion 

While Mumbai police have banned bikes, tractors, automobile rickshaws, mopeds, animal-pulled carts, and different slow-moving vehicles on the ocean bridge, a few pictures of an autorickshaw and bikes went viral on social media.

A video has been doing rounds on the net showing couples crossing the bridge ladder to alight on a viewing platform. On this, Mumbai police issued a warning to people who halt MTHL. Fire filed against them, they said
