InternationalPakistan Army Chief Warns of “Nuclear War” from US Soil

Date:

News Desk – Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir has issued a strong warning of a possible “nuclear war” with India, speaking at an event in Tampa, Florida.

According to reports, Munir said, “We are a nuclear nation. If we think we are going down, we’ll take half the world down with us.” This is believed to be the first time such a nuclear threat has been made from US soil against another country.

The dinner event was hosted by businessman Adnan Asad, honorary consul for Tampa, and was attended by about 120 Pakistani-origin residents. Phones and digital devices were reportedly not allowed inside.

Munir also warned India against building dams on Indus River channels, saying Pakistan has “no shortage of missiles” and would destroy such projects. This comes after India put the Indus Waters Treaty on hold following the Pahalgam terror attack in April.

He accused India of hiding details of its losses in a recent four-day military clash, saying Islamabad would reveal its own figures if India did the same. Quoting the Quran’s Surah Al-Fil, he hinted at targeting India’s eastern economic hubs first.

In a surprising analogy, Munir compared India to a Mercedes and Pakistan to a dump truck full of gravel, saying if they collided, the luxury car would suffer more.

The Pakistan Army Chief also defended military involvement in politics, stating, “Politics is too serious to be left to the politicians.”

This was Munir’s second US visit in two months, following a White House luncheon with President Trump in June.
