Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing the lead role in Annapurna TV’s upcoming series, which is based on Ian Parker’s 2019 New Yorker article A Suspense Novelist’s Trail of Deceptions.
The series is being written and directed by Janicza Bravo. The story of the series focused on the life of a former book editor Dan Mallory.
Dan Mallory is renowned for his first novel The Woman in the Window that became the top-ranking in New York Times Bestseller list in 2018.
Jake Gyllenhaal is the son of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner.
He started his acting career as a child artist and then made a mark in his father’s films A Dangerous Woman and Homegrown.
