61% students do not have plans for foreign education

As per a new study, Indian students are not thinking about higher education in foreign countries due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A recent survey found that 61% have plans to postpone their course of study by a year while 8% of students plan to study in a different country and 7% are cancelling their plans completely.

The survey was done to understand how the coronavirus pandemic has impacted students’ lives and their career choices.

It included responses of over 60,000 students, which included at least 11,000 Indian students.

The decision to delay their higher education plans by a year may be due to the online education system that is being adopted by various universities recently.

At least 48% students were not interested to go for online education due to the pandemic.
