Political Desk – Counting for the bye-elections in Telangana’s Jubilee Hills and Odisha’s Nuapada Assembly seats will begin shortly. The results will be announced along with the Bihar Assembly election results and several other bypolls.
Voting for both seats took place on November 11.
Jubilee Hills recorded a voter turnout of 48.47%.
Nuapada saw a much higher turnout of 83.45% among more than 2.53 lakh voters.

Jubilee Hills (Telangana)
A three-way contest between:
Maganti Sunita Gopinath (BRS)
L Deepak Reddy (BJP)
Naveen Yadav (Congress), supported by AIMIM
Nuapada (Odisha)
Key candidates include:
Jay Dholakia (BJP), son of former MLA Rajendra Dholakia
Snehangini Chhuria (BJD), head of the party’s women’s wing
Ghasiram Majhi (Congress), a senior tribal leader
In total, 14 candidates are contesting in Nuapada.
Why Were the Bypolls Held?
The Jubilee Hills seat became vacant after the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June.
The Nuapada bypoll was held after the death of BJD MLA and former minister Rajendra Dholakia.
