New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the next three-four weeks are very complicated to determine the impact of the steps taken so far to stop the spread of corona virus. The Prime Minister appealed to the states to stop the lockdown violation and ensure the implementation of the social distance rule.
Meanwhile, the Council of Ministers has been asked to resume work in the ministries from Monday. Officers of the rank of joint secretary and above will start functioning in the ministries from Monday. The presence of one-third of the required staff in the ministries will be necessary.
The Prime Minister said in a dialogue with the Chief Ministers of the states through video conferencing that there seems to be a consensus among the states about extending the nationwide lockdown for another two weeks. Significantly, the current nationwide lockdown in view of Kovid-19 started on 25 March and is to end on 14 April.
