Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath government has withdrawn the cases of 40 people including ministers and BJP leaders accused of Muzaffarnagar riots. These people include Yogi government minister Suresh Rana, BJP MLA Sangeet Som and 40 people including BJP leader Bharatendu Singh, Sadhvi Prachi. These people are accused of inciting a riot by making inflammatory speeches in Nangla Mandour area of Muzaffarnagar.
The case lodged against the BJP MLA, Minister in the case of inciting a riot in the 2013 Kawal incident in Muzaffarnagar will be returned. These cases were registered against Sangeet Som, an MLA from Meerut Sardhana region, Suresh Rana, the state’s sugarcane minister, and former MP Bharatendra Singh etc. These included accusations such as speeches in the Panchayat on the Kabbal massacre, inciting the public for rioting in the Mahapanchayat. After agreeing to the rule, the court has also given consent to return the case. The Special Court has given consent to withdraw the case.
Explain that on September 7, 2013, a panchayat was held in Nagla Mandod, in which cases were registered against 11 people including Sangeet Som, Suresh Rana, Sadhvi Prachi, Kunwar Bharatendra Singh. On the return of the case, BJP MLA Sangeet Som says that the cases filed were politically motivated. He said that the SP government had imposed these cases on him to appease a particular section. Which has also been rejected by the court. He said that the court order is acceptable to him. Sugarcane Minister Suresh Rana also welcomed the withdrawal of the case, saying that the then SP government had filed these cases as part of a political conspiracy.
