Modi and Yogi Pay Surprise Visit to Banaras Railway Station Amidst the Varanasi Tour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a late-night visit to the Banaras Railway Station on December 13 to assess the station’s progress and upgrading. PM Modi was joined to the site by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who conducted an inspection of the station around 1.15 a.m., according to reports. PM Modi landed in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha seat, earlier in the day to a raucous greeting from Kashi residents. We’re aiming to improve train connections and guarantee that railway stations are clean, contemporary, and user-friendly.”

PM Modi launched his dream project, the Phase -1 of the ‘Kashi Vishwanath Corridor,’ on Monday, and he also paid a visit to the Kal Bhairav Temple and observed Ganga Aarti from a Ro-Ro vessel. According to his initial schedule for Tuesday, he would address the people of Kashi in the morning at the Banaras Locomotive Work Guesthouse, and then have some meetings in Varanasi before continuing on.

PM Modi was accompanied on the boat by Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as well as other CMs from BJP-run states. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and BJP President JP Nadda were among those present. They started at Sant Ravidas Ghat and sat the entire way to Dashashwamedha Ghat, which is known for its daily ‘aarti,’ where the Prime Minister and his advisors saw the Deepotsav. People singing ‘Har Har Mahadev’ along the river were also audible.

PM Modi’s favourite project, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, was built at a cost of Rs 339 crore and he personally oversaw its construction. PM Modi maintained a close watch on the construction via drone surveillance and even provided suggestions and advice to the architects. The first phase of the ‘Kashi Vishwanath Corridor,’ which opened on Monday, consists of 23 buildings that provide a variety of services to pilgrims visiting the temple and its surrounding lands.
